The format
Submit one original vertical 9:16 video, longer than zero and no more than 60 seconds including title cards and credits. Use at least 360 × 640 pixels; 1080 × 1920 is preferred. Keep the file at or below 250 MB. Submit up to five original Shorts per 24 hours. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is recommended. Include a clear title, a short description, accurate content warnings, and a permanent cover image URL. Keep text readable inside the frame, use clear audio, and include captions in the video when speech is important. Avoid flashing or strobing imagery. Do not crop essential information outside the frame.
What belongs here
Original micro-stories, music moments, animation, dance, comedy, art, behind-the-scenes creativity, and thoughtful personal expression. Be expressive without targeting or humiliating someone. Submissions must suit a 16+ platform; aim for a broad creative audience and use minimal strong language. The programming team may decline content that does not fit Moonroof+ even when it is lawful.
What we do not accept
- Hate speech, slurs, threats, harassment, bullying, degrading stereotypes, or discrimination.
- Nudity, sexually explicit material, sexual exploitation, or sexualized depictions of minors.
- Graphic injury, gore, cruelty, glorification of violence, or instructions for weapons or wrongdoing.
- Dangerous challenges, encouragement to imitate stunts, self-harm or suicide promotion, drug-use instructions, or unsafe behavior presented as something viewers should try.
- Private information, doxxing, nonconsensual recordings, humiliating pranks, exploitation, scams, misleading claims, or deceptive impersonation. Clearly disclose materially altered or synthetic depictions of real people; permission is still required.
- Unlicensed music, video, artwork, logos used misleadingly, stolen clips, or submissions without distribution rights and participant permissions.
- Spam, unrelated promotions, undisclosed sponsorship, or misleading thumbnails. Any sponsorship must be disclosed and reviewed.
People, permissions, and safety
Submitters must use a verified Moonroof+ account and be 16 or older. If under 18, obtain parent or guardian approval. Get permission from recognizable participants and guardian permission when a minor appears. Do not disclose a minor’s school, address, schedule, or other sensitive information. Respect privacy and obtain location and performance permissions where needed. Dangerous activities are not appropriate for Creative Shorts submissions; do not submit content encouraging viewers to attempt them.
Private upload, human review, then publication
Uploaded videos remain private. Processing checks verify duration and dimensions before the submission enters review. Authorized programming staff preview the complete video and audio, assess guidelines, rights, cover artwork, title information, and warnings, and approve, request changes, or decline it with notes. Approval creates a draft, not an automatic public post. The title must then pass editorial, rights, technical, metadata, and publishing checks. No submission is guaranteed acceptance, promotion, payment, or revenue share. Separate agreements govern licensing and monetization.
If changes are requested, submit a revised original video and reference the earlier submission in the description. The earlier video and its review history remain intact. Repeated violations may lead to submission restrictions or account action under the Terms of Use.
